Using Data to Create Strategic Action Plans
Accountability and data are at the heart of contemporary reform efforts worldwide. Accountability has become the watchword of education, with data holding a central place in the current wave of large-scale reform” (Earl, 2005).
Participation in this three hour workshop will enable you to:
• Analyze your current data collection and analysis to ascertain how to address the areas for improvement—create a systematic process of data collection and analysis that informs next steps in pedagogy and instruction.
• Plan for improving teaching and learning through aligned professional development – examine strategies for aligning resources and curriculum in order to improve student achievement
• Begin to develop a strategic action plan to drive whole school change - informed by the range of formal and authentic assessment data.
